Our Kids, Our Playground Sponsorship Campaign

At Capital City Public Charter School, we believe that play is essential to learning. While our building offers exceptional indoor facilities, our lower school playground tells a different story. The current playground at the front of our school is near a busy intersection, frequently breaks, and is increasingly difficult to repair due to unavailable parts. Safety from street traffic is a constant concern for teachers and staff supervising kids, and the surrounding area suffers from drainage and erosion issues making the school's front entrance less welcoming.

We are taking a step to change this. With support from a grant, we will relocate the playground to a secure, enclosed area within our school field and next to our garden. This will create a safer, more vibrant play space for our students. The new playground will be fully accessible for students of all abilities and will be constructed of natural materials with a slide, climbing areas and bridges to explore. The total cost for this project will be $620,000 and the grant we received will cover site preparation expenses and permits. However, the grant doesn't cover all the costs and we've set a goal to raise $30,000 to finish this project. Help us raise the final $30,000 to cover the remaining costs to build the new playground.
